On January 17, 2011, the Minatare FCCLA Chapter sponsored the District FCCLA STAR Competition. The event was held in Gering, NE, at Calvary Memorial Church. The day included several students competing for awards in different categories. Breanna Johnson, Lizzy Mitchell, Sam Craig, and Chyann Ross competed and helped serve lunch. Afterwards the student members also helped clean the church. Several people from the church and the community helped judge, cook, etc. to aid events of the day. Future events for our Chapter include planning the 2011 Fall Workshop.
